About Yannick
Yannick Hanfmann, born on November 13, 1991, in Karlsruhe, Germany, took a unique path to the highest level of the ATP Tour. After completing his education in the United States and playing college tennis at the University of Southern California, Yannick turned professional at 23.
In 2017, Yannick made his mark on the ATP Tour by reaching his first ATP Tour level final at the Swiss Open Gstaad. By July 2018, he broke into the top 100 of the ATP Ranking for the first time, marking a significant milestone in his career. About Yannick
Yannick Hanfmann, 31 years old from Karlsruhe, is one of the best German tennis players. Unlike most tennis players, Yannick chose a different path to make it to the highest level on the ATP Tour. After high school, Yannick went to study in the United-States and played college tennis at the University of South California.
Yannick turned professional at 23 years old and had a first breakthrough in 2017 after he made the final at the Swiss Open Gstaad, his first ever ATP Tour level final (ATP 250). On July 2018, Yannick first entered the top 100 of the ATP ranking. In 2020, Yannick reached his second final of an ATP 250 tournament in Kitzbuhel.
At the Australian Open 2022, Yannick won his first ever main draw match in a Grand Slam beating Kokkinakis on home soil which was a big milestone for him and the premises of his ascent to the top.
2023 has been the consecration for Yannick who reached his career high ranking no.45 in the world after sensational results at Masters 1000 level. He reached the round of 32 in Madrid and the Quarter-finals in Rome, both going through qualifying and beating top 20 and top 10 players.
